HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!

Hi there people,

First of all want to wish everyone a belated Christmas and a Happy New Year 2008. Wondering how is everybody doing now.. =P

As for me, as usual. Sleep and eat a lot during the holiday. It has been almost two months and I did not really accomplish anything. Sent a few job applications to Singapore but have yet to receive any reply. By the rate things are going, I think it is better to get a temporary position while waiting. I am just so out of shape now and one of my new year resolutions is to get back in shape. Mesti hidup dengan lebih berdisiplin!! Haha

So how did you celebrated Christmas and New Year? Christmas eve was celebrated in KL Plaza. Very bad traffic while on the way there. Stuck in the jam for hours. Stayed overnight there after clubbing. The Bukit Bintang area was crazy that night. Banyak orang gila got out of control. Got sprayed by those nutcase. Kind of irritated cause I 'pan leng leng' like a girl to show off and attract while clubbing and they ruined my look. ^^

Anyway, loves the atmosphere there. Its very rare to see so many people on the street. Maybe only a few times each year and I seldom joined in. New year eve countdown was in KL as well. Surprisingly, the traffic in KL was better that day and not as bad as Christmas. Reach and parked at KLP around 4pm. Went to Pavilion and watch Alien vs Predator with the Fish. After the show, we go jalan jalan cari makan in the area before heading to the club. Counting down on the dance floor was dam syok with the remix version of Auld Lang Syne played when the clock strike midnight hahaha. I was shouting along more than singing. Anyway, it does not matter cause I can't hear myself anyway. Was a little high that night thanks to the Long Island I drank from a jug. =/ A bit spoil image. But its quite fun therefore its okaayyy.. ^^

Hmm, and so the year end celebration has exhausted me along with my wallet. And so beginning January 2008, it is time to get a job and work. Celebration time is over now. XD

Anyway, hope that everybody will have a wonderful year ahead. 2008 will also be according to the Chinese calendar the Year of the Rat, and that is my Year!! =P

Its Done

Hi there..

Yeah, has been growing fungus at home lately.. exams are over and the results finally came out...

And yes, I passed all subjects.. ^^
See my beautiful result above.. =P

Finally, I can pack my bag and say Good Bye to Monash. Tata!! @_@

And now I am officially... ALMOST a graduate!!! Graduation ceremony will only be held next year September I think..
Anyway, its only a symbolic thingy.. not really important.
And so its time for me to work. Arghh!!
Has been wasting time bumming around in November.
Not planning to seek permanent employment at the moment and thus will look for temporary jobs... just to earn some extra cash.. its December mahh.. Hehe

Won't be continuing Honours in Monash.
Results are just average and most probably will not get accepted.
Furthermore, I am not really interested in research at the moment. = =
Will work for some time just to gain some experience before doing post-grad study. =/

Hmmm.....
To all my graduating fellow course-mates, congrats we have finally made it!!!! Haha.
To those who will be staying for further study, I wish you all 'All the best'!! Hehe =P

The Finals

It has been very long since I last blog. Has been very busy with studies for the past few weeks. And yes, AT LAST! The finals are here. This will probably be the last 'Finals' I will be sitting for in Monash. Hehe. Yeahhh!!

It has been an awesome three years I guess ^^. Three years may not be long. Indeed, I do feel that it passes by quickly. I could still remember clearly the first day in college where we were all in high spirit, full of hopes and just couldn't wait to start haha.

The first lecture I had was Biology. The lecturer started by introducing to us the concept of evolution, mentioning on extraterrestrial life etc. I remember that he told us to read an article on 'How to Create a Universe'. Well, I did not, even till today. XD Well, all those are meant to introduce the theme of the study to us I guess. It was really interesting.

The second lecturer said we are all studying to become a scientist and even commented that one of us could win the Nobel prize someday. Wow! A degree in hand will open up a door of opportunities and we are free to do whatever we dream off. He also reminded us that we should enjoy our university life and to study for the sake of knowledge itself.

Such encouraging words! I have to say that after the first two lectures, I was so convinced that I have choosen the right course hehe. I bet others felt the same way too.

As always, reality is not that simple. Ask any of the alumni, Monash is famous for the huge amount of works. Reports, assignments, exams. As I progress, the interest and enthusiasm seem to be fading away. Life has become so routine. Sleeping in lectures and skipping classes becomes a habit =P. Of course not all are like that as there are really hardworking students. I am just not one of them haha.

After spending six semesters here, I am glad that it has finally come to an end. Throughout the entire duration of study, I manage to pass all subjects without a single fail. Thank you ^^. (We will see if I manage to pull through this final exam) Haha.

I have to admit that I have learn much in the past three years. However, results are just average. Sometimes I do feel that I could do better by putting in more efforts. Anyway, it is the beginning of a new chapter now, I shouldn't be feeling too remorse =P.

Am having the mid semester break now.. errmmm.. not really a break as in holiday.. but more of an assignment break.. =D
Tons of stuff to complete in this 1 week time.. but at least I dont have to go to uni.. hahaha
The finals will be in 1 month time.. very sked.. tons of notes to read and memorize..

Bored + Stress = ?

Hi peoplez...

Wuah, it has almost been a month since I last blog...

Still remember the last post was done in my uni library... time really 'terbang'...
I mean.. its like.. so fast one month??!!! What have I done so far!!??.. nothin special happen oso... like I had mentioned it b4 in my 1st or 2nd post I think.. life is kinda 'routine' for me...
1st month here is really boring...
Everyday is kinda same.. seriously.. I did not go anywhere.. no movies.. no 'makanin' out.. no this no that.. = =''

Some more my life is soo 'upside down'... kinda of a 'nocturnal' creature that stay awake all night long.. and sleep in the day..
The timetable I got doesn't help much either.. with classes at 8am in the morning.. one big 'gap' in between and and end at 6pm in the evening..

The new campus although is 'BIG' but there is actually not much place to hang out besides the library =p... MUSA is way too noisy... back in the old campus, at least I got to hang out in foyer, cafeteria, Orange or walk to pyramid or the old MUSA which is 'not too' noisy... =/ but ere... hehe

OMG!!! so boring.. help help help help...!!!!

Almost forget my password while signing in.. needed to pause and think.. =p
Really admired those that manage to keep up with an almost a 'daily' update.. hehe...
Anyways, thanx to you people, at least I will have something to read..

Weird cause when you are in your final semester, aren't you supposed to fell very 'semangat' since you are graduating soon..? I thought that when I was in my 1st year.. but now... o_O guess Monash really worn me out... ahh.. tolong.. so stress here.. =p

Was told by one of my lecturer that we all should be enjoying our university life.. HAVE FUN!!! hoho..

Really hope that all this will end soon...
But come to think bout it... it will be working life after this... isn't that more 'routine' it will become???!! = =''
Hope that I manage to get myself a job that I am happy with...
But I guessed a Biotech graduate cannot be too choosy... hehe.. or maybe I will end up 'jobless' XD

Neway, this weekend might be going to Cyberjaya.. meet up with old schoolmates.. do some catching up.. hoho.. can run away from all this.. for a while.. =)

Restoran Ayam Penyet Ria

Yoo peeps....

This will be my first post on 'Food' here hehe so lets make it short ya =P...

Went to 'makan' at this Indonesian restaurant just now with Randy...

Was located at Mentari Business Park in Sunway...

The name is 'Restoran Ayam Penyet Ria'. =/ Sounded a bit funny to me though.. Think it was named after the 'ciu pai' food there, the 'Ayam Penyet'.. =P

This is my third time taking Indonesian. The first and second was last year in a place near Lagoon Perdana and somewhere near college.. haha..

Was recommended by Randy to try the chicken... so yeah, ordered one as the main course with an extra bowl of soup.. and with 'nasi putih'... and plain ice water...




'Restoran Ayam Penyet Ria'

There you go 'Restoran Ayam Penyet Ria'.. =p According to Randy, there were usually more people.. maybe because it was raining at that time so people lazy to come haha...

My 'Ayam Penyet' together with the bowl of 'Bakso Penyet' soup + 2nd plate of rice..



'Basok Penyet' soup... RM4.50

This bowl of 'Bakso Penyet' soup is only a quarter or less of what was served... The actual portion is quite large, with 6 beef balls.. =p

This is because I forgot to take a picture first before eating... haha.. new blogger ma.. still dun have the habit yet.. Anyway, the soup is really tasty and they also put in some 'tong fun'.. great to go with the rice (actually finish my 1st plate of rice with the soup n totally neglecting the chicken)..



'Sup Rawon'... RM5.00 (also taken halfway into eating.. lupa ma.. hehe)

Randy on the other hand had this 'Sup Rawon' for soup... Hmm, don't look that appetizing compared to mine but I guess you can't really judge just by its look.. haha... included in the soup are diced beef lying beneath..



'Ayam Penyet'... RM6.00

And here you have the neglected 'Ayam' haha.. was actually too full after I finish the soup but still have to eat it somehow.. XD.. The chicken is really soft, tender and easy to eat.. Comes together are some boiled 'kangkong', some crispy fried bits of chicken and beancurd...

I think that is why they call it 'Penyet'?.. I guess it was lightly pressed during preparation to make it soft... hehe..

Google it and you will find out that the 'Ayam Penyet' is an Indonesian cuisine and originated from the Surabaya recipe... haha

Spend an hour 'makaning' there.. consider long luu.. since Randy and I always spent the max. 15 minutes if we go medan foodcourt.. wuahahaha..
Overall, we paid RM26.88 for two (including 5% service charge though)...
Not too bad.. I guess it was worth it..considering the portion of the food served...
Plan to come back to try the fish... dun really know what it is called... some fried 'ikan keli' haha..
Maybe later will tell you all... =P

New Semester at Monash Sunway

Tomorrow will be the start of a new semester..
