Hehe, its the beginning of March now.. general election is coming soon.. in 2 more days. Too bad I can't vote this time. I did my voter's registration a little too late which was in early January. =/ Well, got to wait for the next one. To those that are voting out there this coming election, remember, VOTE WISELY! hehehe...

And so nothing much happen in February except for my birthday on the 13th hehe. Got two cakes this year. ^^

The first cake I got was on the 10th. =p Went to eat steamboat again for dinner that day. This time, tried a different place in Sunway Mentari. Don't know the name in English so I will just post the picture. =p

The restaurant is located opposite Yuen Buffet Steamboat, across the main road. Personally, I think this place is much better than Yuen Buffet. Maybe because its kind of new? Anyway, as you can see the shop is more nicely decorated and clean. However, most of the patrons will have to sit outside in the open air since the inside can only accommodate a few tables. And that means no air-con hehe. But for people like me, that won't be a problem lee...

After the dinner, went to pyramid and played bowling. =p Played two games. Main baling only hehehe.. But the score can consider not bad la for a noob like me. Played with Jes and Fish. Hehe.. I even lost to Jes XD Later, Mr. Leo and smaller Fish come and join and that Leo showed off his skills. ==''

After the game, tried archery. Got two free tickets and got to shoot a few arrows. Hehe not bad not bad, quite accurate. =p Next stop, Yip Kee Noodles drink soyabean..

And then cut the cake at Leo's place hehehe... Thanks guys! =p

On the 13th Feb, my actual birthday day, had dinner at a restaurant near my house together with all family members. Its also our 'Lou Sang' dinner that night for CNY. =p

So in early February, meet up with Mr. Tan in Mid Valley. Monash is still in holiday mode now and so those that went overseas came back and are still around. Did nothing much, just makan and lepak lepak around... =p

That night, meet up with Ken and Cassie as well. First dinner at Murni and then 'tong sui' at KTZ in SS2. Did some catching up. Apparently most of my course mates have gotten themselves a job! Cannot afford to waste any more time now. =[

Hang out 'minum' again in 'wai sek gai' and bumped into Miss Ong and the bf wahahaha... having their romantic 'lok lok' dinner there... =p

CHINESE NEW YEAR falls on the 7th Feb. Went back to my hometown in Seremban. Had the reunion dinner the night before.
This year celebration was kind of normal, boring. Did nothing much at home. Did not ate nor drank too much. Was feeling kind of unwell in the second day... vomited too.. = ='' there goes my appetite for the rest of the holiday...

Elo, this is the second part of the happenings in Jan - Feb =P

Also in the month of January the 29th, celebrated Leo's birthday in a steamboat restaurant in Cheras. Haha, That fellow will be 25 this year, old enough. =p Those who came along were Jes, and Leo's two buddies.

Here you go.. =p The picture was taken after the 1st round of filling the pot. The steamboat in Cheras wasn't in buffet style though. Personally, I would prefer buffet as I can eat anything I like as much as possible.



We ordered the food for 3 person and so there were only 3 prawns. = ='' + some side orders as well. I still think buffet style is better. =[

Steamboat Restaurant - dunno name....

The shop is located somewhere in Taman Cheras Makmur I think. Been to that area a few times a few years back, usually for dinner but not recently. Its kind of hiding behind the main street... quite ulu la... people that dunno the area won't be able to find it wan laa.. Hehe

There are quite a number of other steamboat restaurants there as well but of course the host think this is good la.. =p

And so after the dinner ended at 12am, we decided to go somewhere else to cut cut cake =p. Notice the picture above. We came in the wira. Standing there were Ben and Alan while waiting for the rest. The pajero was parked behind us, driven by a group of lala (samseng look) people sitting a few tables away from us - steamboat-ing oso.

That Leo driver ar, maybe because he was too overwhelmed by his big day - with all the wishes coming along... NVR PAY ATTENTION!! while reversing... = = You know what happen next la... BOOM!! reverse straight into the pajero.. = =''

OMG! The alarm came off damn loud.. and one fellow from the lala group came to see.. shit! Damn sked at that time. Haih, luckily just happen to be a little scratch to both car, nothing serious.. and so the lala guy say its okayyy... Imagine if we kena estort! No money pay ar! =[

And so, off we went cepat cepat... Decided to cut the cake in Taman Tasik Permaisuri. Hehehe..

Jan 08 - Feb 08 Part 1

Wah, this blog has been abandoned for more than a month.. getting ever more lazy.. =p

Ermm, so here is a quick summary of what happened in the past few months.. Hehehe

Went down to Singapore for a job interview in January. Applied for the position of Medical Technologist in Tan Tock Seng Hospital Medical Centre. Went for two interviews there as they have many different departments. Was shortlisted for the lab position in both the Microbiology and the Biochemistry Lab. The interview was okay but unfortunately, my qualification doesn't really suit their expectation. = ='' Arggg!!! Lack both medical micro and clinical biochemistry in my resume.. =[ There were so many other candidates with better qualifications. sad sad

Haha, anyway, the exposure was good. At least I know how they conduct interviews over there. Will be more careful in application in the future. A trip down south cause me quite a bomb. = ='' They were many other Malaysians at that time as well but most of them were from JB. But I come from KL!! ><'''

The night before the interview, was staying at friend's place in RedHill Close. Went to makan at the food court nearby. Well, I have to say that the price of food in Singapore is much cheaper.. without converting laaa that is.. Hahaha..

The next morning find my way to the hospital myself. Yeap, its easy to travel around Singapore as the whole city state is connected by public transport.. Hehe
Reach there two hours earlier.. Was walking around the shopping complex nearby to kill some time.

The shopping center is just opposite the hospital... This hospital was the center of attraction during the SARS outbreak in 2003. As Singapore was also severely affected at that time, the hospital became a designated center for SARS screening and treatment that time.

So I was there from 11am till almost 5 in the evening.. apparently the hospital was having a fire drill on the same day and thus the interviewers were not around. Furthermore, there were many other candidates there.. tsk tsk.. nothing to say oledi.. = =

Was planning to go back to Malaysia on that day itself initially, because it is already too late and I have yet to get a bus ticket, I decided to go back the next day. That night, Leo reach Singapore and we went makan at the same food court. This time I had 'yu tau mai fan'. Err, fish head noodle soup... =p no pic, forget to take...

The next day, got a bus ticket in Lavender and had my lunch there as well with Leo.

After makan, off into the bus and back to Malaysia. Slept through the entire journey.. too tired ledi.. =P Back in KL, that night went to clubbing.. Hohoho.. XD

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!

Hi there people,

First of all want to wish everyone a belated Christmas and a Happy New Year 2008. Wondering how is everybody doing now.. =P

As for me, as usual. Sleep and eat a lot during the holiday. It has been almost two months and I did not really accomplish anything. Sent a few job applications to Singapore but have yet to receive any reply. By the rate things are going, I think it is better to get a temporary position while waiting. I am just so out of shape now and one of my new year resolutions is to get back in shape. Mesti hidup dengan lebih berdisiplin!! Haha

So how did you celebrated Christmas and New Year? Christmas eve was celebrated in KL Plaza. Very bad traffic while on the way there. Stuck in the jam for hours. Stayed overnight there after clubbing. The Bukit Bintang area was crazy that night. Banyak orang gila got out of control. Got sprayed by those nutcase. Kind of irritated cause I 'pan leng leng' like a girl to show off and attract while clubbing and they ruined my look. ^^

Anyway, loves the atmosphere there. Its very rare to see so many people on the street. Maybe only a few times each year and I seldom joined in. New year eve countdown was in KL as well. Surprisingly, the traffic in KL was better that day and not as bad as Christmas. Reach and parked at KLP around 4pm. Went to Pavilion and watch Alien vs Predator with the Fish. After the show, we go jalan jalan cari makan in the area before heading to the club. Counting down on the dance floor was dam syok with the remix version of Auld Lang Syne played when the clock strike midnight hahaha. I was shouting along more than singing. Anyway, it does not matter cause I can't hear myself anyway. Was a little high that night thanks to the Long Island I drank from a jug. =/ A bit spoil image. But its quite fun therefore its okaayyy.. ^^

Hmm, and so the year end celebration has exhausted me along with my wallet. And so beginning January 2008, it is time to get a job and work. Celebration time is over now. XD

Anyway, hope that everybody will have a wonderful year ahead. 2008 will also be according to the Chinese calendar the Year of the Rat, and that is my Year!! =P

Its Done

Hi there..

Yeah, has been growing fungus at home lately.. exams are over and the results finally came out...

And yes, I passed all subjects.. ^^

Finally, I can pack my bag and say Good Bye to Monash. Tata!! @_@

And now I am officially... ALMOST a graduate!!! Graduation ceremony will only be held next year September I think..
Anyway, its only a symbolic thingy.. not really important.
And so its time for me to work. Arghh!!
Has been wasting time bumming around in November.
Not planning to seek permanent employment at the moment and thus will look for temporary jobs... just to earn some extra cash.. its December mahh.. Hehe

Won't be continuing Honours in Monash.
Results are just average and most probably will not get accepted.
Furthermore, I am not really interested in research at the moment. = =
Will work for some time just to gain some experience before doing post-grad study. =/

Hmmm.....
To all my graduating fellow course-mates, congrats we have finally made it!!!! Haha.
To those who will be staying for further study, I wish you all 'All the best'!! Hehe =P

The Finals

It has been very long since I last blog. Has been very busy with studies for the past few weeks. And yes, AT LAST! The finals are here. This will probably be the last 'Finals' I will be sitting for in Monash. Hehe. Yeahhh!!

It has been an awesome three years I guess ^^. Three years may not be long. Indeed, I do feel that it passes by quickly. I could still remember clearly the first day in college where we were all in high spirit, full of hopes and just couldn't wait to start haha.

The first lecture I had was Biology. The lecturer started by introducing to us the concept of evolution, mentioning on extraterrestrial life etc. I remember that he told us to read an article on 'How to Create a Universe'. Well, I did not, even till today. XD Well, all those are meant to introduce the theme of the study to us I guess. It was really interesting.

The second lecturer said we are all studying to become a scientist and even commented that one of us could win the Nobel prize someday. Wow! A degree in hand will open up a door of opportunities and we are free to do whatever we dream off. He also reminded us that we should enjoy our university life and to study for the sake of knowledge itself.

Such encouraging words! I have to say that after the first two lectures, I was so convinced that I have choosen the right course hehe. I bet others felt the same way too.

As always, reality is not that simple. Ask any of the alumni, Monash is famous for the huge amount of works. Reports, assignments, exams. As I progress, the interest and enthusiasm seem to be fading away. Life has become so routine. Sleeping in lectures and skipping classes becomes a habit =P. Of course not all are like that as there are really hardworking students. I am just not one of them haha.

After spending six semesters here, I am glad that it has finally come to an end. Throughout the entire duration of study, I manage to pass all subjects without a single fail. Thank you ^^. (We will see if I manage to pull through this final exam) Haha.

I have to admit that I have learn much in the past three years. However, results are just average. Sometimes I do feel that I could do better by putting in more efforts. Anyway, it is the beginning of a new chapter now, I shouldn't be feeling too remorse =P.
